Out There Media and Vimpelcom roll out Mobile Advertising in Russia
… The offering features the Permission-Based Program “Be the First to Know”…

Vienna and Moscow, 24 June 2010 - Out There Media, a global leader in mobile advertising, and OJSC VimpelCom (Beeline brand), jointly announce the official roll-out of a comprehensive Mobile Advertising offering in the Russian market. The offering will run on the VimpelCom network and is open to all Beeline customers. Sales, business development and operations support will be undertaken by the Out There Media office in Russia, which is based in Moscow.

The highlight of the new offering is “Be the First to Know”, a next generation Permission-Based Mobile Advertising program for opt-in customers. “Be the First to Know” is a revolutionary new Mobile Advertising offering that is available to mobile customers who supply demographic and lifestyle characteristics about themselves, and who give their permission (opt-in) to receive advertising on their mobile telephones that is tailored according to their preferences, interests and needs. Using formats that include SMS and MMS messages, as well as the mobile internet, customers of the new offering will “Be the First to Know” about the latest offers, promotions, discounts, new products and innovations from leading brands, retailers, financial institutions, car manufacturers, etc.

“Be the First to Know” presents unprecedented benefits for the two main elements of its value chain, in other words the advertisers and the end consumers. Advertisers can now enhance their media mix with a new medium that ensures advanced targeting capabilities, consumer engagement, impressive responsiveness, maximum audience reach and highly effective brand awareness. Consumers will now be able to receive premium and exclusive benefits, offers and information that is directly relevant to their needs, interests and lifestyle. It is worth noting that in the period immediately prior to the launch of the new offering, more than 200.000 VimpelCom customers have already joined and opted in, in order to “Be the First to Know” with VimpelCom and Out There Media.

It is worth noting that at the launch of “Be the First to Know”, a number of established brands have already signed up in order to roll out campaigns targeting the program’s opt-in customer base. These launch partners include Perfetti Van Melle (with a focus on their brands Chupa-Chups, Smint and Sula) and BANK URALSIB.
